Ambience Event Services provides multiple services for the special event industry, including DJs, bands, classically trained musicians, A-V rentals, event coordination and videography. Events we work at include but are not limited to weddings, corporate events, school dances, mitzvahs and just about any other type of social occasion throughout Athens, Atlanta and Northeast Georgia. We offer a fun work environment, great post-training pay and a mostly weekend work schedule. Looking for a fun part-time career opportunity? - Interested in the Special Events Industry
- Interested in Sales, DJ'ing, Event Coordination, Videography or Audio Visuals
- Anticipate living in the area of our corporate office on a permanent basis
- Available on the weekends (when special events take place)
- Drug Free and a Non-Smoker
- Own a reliable, insured automobile capable of transporting a nominal amount of equipment out of town and back
Experience is not always necessary but can sometimes be beneficial depending on the position.
Current Opportunities
DJ/MC Division
Tired of the typical ho-hum job?
Currently, we are looking for several people to enter our apprenticeship program. Those individuals will possess the following traits:
- Outgoing personality
- Not afraid of being on stage, or speaking to large groups
- Clean, well groomed appearance
- Customer service experience (preferably as a waiter or caterer)
- Reliable, punctual & responsible with maintaining a schedule and keeping up with assigned customers
- Long term resident of the Athens or surrounding areas or willing to travel to our office from the Atlanta or Gainesville areas
- Ability to speak clearly with proper use of grammar
- Place a high priority on completing work obligations
- Own a reliable, insured automobile capable of transporting a nominal amount of equipment out of town and back
PLEASE NOTE: We are not looking for the following:
- Subcontractor DJs with prior experience or their own equipment.
- Underground club DJs looking to be discovered.
- Turntable or “Scratch” DJs.
- Musicians or band members (schedules conflict).
However, this is a great opportunity for teachers, waiters/servers, caterers, actors and anyone who has a fun, outgoing personality, enjoys music and enjoys leading the party more than partying.
Ambience Event Services provides extensive training and support systems, full time office staff, modern equipment, music library and most importantly, the events. Tuition is covered if you are accepted into our apprentice program. The initial training period is approximately 6-8 week with a flexible schedule of about 8-12 per week of classroom time plus event training on the weekends.

- Digital videography experience
- Experience with Adobe Premiere, Adobe Premier Elements 7, Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Express
- Some experience shooting special events with an emphasis on wedding ceremonies & receptions
- Clean, well groomed appearance
- Customer service experience
- Reliable, punctual & responsible with maintaining a schedule and keeping up with assigned customers
- Long term resident of the Athens or surrounding areas or willing to travel to our office from the Atlanta or Gainesville areas.
- Place a high priority on completing work obligations
